An evening with the Prime Minister
I was proud to host the 2026 Victorian Business Excellence Awards for the Asian Business Association of Whitehorse (ABAW), held in the Melbourne Room at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
It was a major celebration of Victorian enterprise, attended by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Victorian Opposition Leader Jess Wilson, federal and state members of parliament, ministers and shadow ministers, consuls-general, business leaders and distinguished community representatives.
A packed house celebrated outstanding award recipients from across Victoria, with entertainment from the CYSM Lion Dance Troupe, performers from the Dunhuang Arts Academy and a live jazz band. The program also featured live and silent auctions, exceptional cuisine and fine wines.
As both Master of Ceremonies and audience engagement specialist, I created a bespoke interactive segment for the evening—bringing the room together, adding energy to the program and ensuring the guests became part of the celebration.
Having grown up in the City of Whitehorse, I felt a special connection to the occasion. The event showcased the extraordinary contribution Asian culture, enterprise and leadership make to Melbourne and the wider Victorian community.
