What a week in Paris, vraiment incroyable! Last time I visited the Eiffel Tower I was scared off by the eternally long queues to get in. This time? I hosted a Welcome Dinner in the restaurant. The atmosphere was electric, the views breathtaking and the exceptional cuisine was what you would expect from 2 Michelin Star chef Thierry Marx.
After conference sessions the following day and a special lunch for the highest performers, we headed to the Pavilion de Bercy for the masquerade themed gala. It reminded me of a mix between Melbourne venues the Regent Plaza Ballroom and the old warehouse in Kensington.
The space is filled with original early 1900s circus games, all carved from wood and functioning perfectly, allowing the guests to play and experience ‘old school’ entertainment.
Add CanCan dancers and a fashion parade of best dressed guests down the long catwalk and you have the perfect evening!
I have another week here in France with all my French family including a wedding. My mouth muscles are sore from only speaking French. (And from trying to explain AFL football - nice win Hawks!)
À bientôt!
