Team Building/Energisers
Team Building, Ice Breakers & Conference Energisers
Nobody ever says, "I hope this conference is awkward." Yet every year thousands of delegates walk into conference rooms full of complete strangers wondering where to sit, who to talk to and whether they'll survive another name badge and hard chair.
That's where I come in. I love helping groups relax, connect and have some fun from the very start. With a background in stand-up comedy, improv and corporate entertainment, I can't help but bring the laughs. In fact, it's not unusual for me to have a room full of laughing people within the first five minutes of the day.
Whether it's a fast-paced ice breaker, a get-to-know-you activity, a group challenge or a conference energiser, my goal is simple: help people feel comfortable enough to participate, learn and enjoy the experience.
After more than 30 years as an entertainer, MC and facilitator, I've built up a huge toolkit of activities that can work with almost any audience. Sometimes I'll arrive armed with props such as yo-yos, paper clips, balls or mystery objects. Other times I need nothing more than the people in the room. Anyone for a giant game of Rock, Paper, Scissors?
What I enjoy most is reading the audience and finding the right activity for that particular group at that particular moment.
Conference programs don't always run to plan, and when a speaker finishes early, a bus arrives late or the AV team needs a few extra minutes, I love the challenge of creating something engaging out of thin air. It's one of the reasons I rarely panic and never run out of ideas. If there's a gap to fill, a room to energise or a group that needs bringing together, I'll happily jump in and get things moving again.
Ice Breakers
One of the biggest opportunities at any conference is sitting right in front of you. The people at your table often have experiences, ideas and connections that can be just as valuable as what's happening on stage. That's why I love helping delegates relax, have a laugh and get to know each other early in the event.

Brain Teasers & Team Building Activities
Give a group a challenge, a few random objects and a ticking clock and something magical happens. Suddenly complete strangers are sharing ideas, laughing, encouraging each other and desperately trying to avoid coming last. I love using brain teasers, construction challenges and problem-solving activities to get people interacting early in an event. They're fun, memorable and often reveal hidden talents within the group. Who knew the quiet person from Accounts was secretly an engineering genius?
